Honored for numerous accomplishments over the years (Pittsburgh Parking Lots / Model Cities with Mayor Caliguiri, Military Services 1943 to 1976) – most recently for serving as one of the “all-black Buffalo Soldiers” – he is #13 on the 4th page of pictures in the 2010 Memorial Calendar Honoring Southwesten Pennsylvania’s WWII Veterans. Lieutenant Colonel of the US Army, graduate of Pitt University, honored in the following books: Who’s Who Amoung Black Americans, Community Leaders & Noteworthy Americans, Notable Americans, Men on Achievement, Three of the First Special Agents, US Treasury Dept and by the Kappa Alpha Psi 12th Ward, Lt Col George N Charlton Jr is noted as one of finest in community, church, fraternity, nation and country.
